In dream intoxication, The scenery keeps shifting, Before my eyes can notice. Move, thought form expedition, Through these worlds, What must be sought. Beneath the layers of human texture. Awaken to the dawn, Of a familiar rising sun. The notion that thousands must die, For one being to shine, It comforts my mind…my reality defined. The noise is getting louder, it deafens my ears. The clamor of rush hour, the voices of my peers. Again we’ve missed the point, The reason why we’re here, To let these songs drift on.. And do away with fear. Despite it all, we’ll just keep running backwards Towards that indescribable feeling, Dancing towards the mirror. This road shows no sign of reprieve.. Just shallows to stumble through. They long for your company soon… And with no place left to go but forward, My heart can’t take much more. I must depart, To feel the sounds, live the sights of this world. I know that it won’t last long, I know death waits for no one. The noise stops, the end begins of another day, I won’t be hearing it again, Until I’ve found my way… (Through the endless skies I’ve grown to love.. I know we’ve grown so far apart. A foolish lie I’ve hoped would one day bring me, To that place I’ll call home.)

I looked to the west and saw, A thousand setting suns. * * * Is it safe now to crawl across? A thin strand of memories remains. Thinly veiled in golden fog and dreams of dust. It resonates within the cold refrain. I thought I would be free from this. A Cheshire smile, And voices from within, they cry out.. Come seeker, try as you might. The image is not getting any clearer. This wastelands promise you’ve held yourself too, Collapses, As freedom and reason shine through. Standing here at the apex of all these selfish thoughts, Trying to remember, just what it is I had once sought. The ideas there, just a little more and I’ll follow through. In desperate flight, for a life once dreamt, To start anew. Oh, time. With open arms we find, Worlds inside, Never spoke, Undefined. Can’t you see this line that you’ve drawn, Stands to be defined? Trying so hard, to not let it fall apart. Through every routine, every motion,. Forced march from boredom, kick started with uppers. So why bother? Have you not seen the programs? No one cares but to have a number, a lover. Show them we’ve got what they want, Relevance. Hypocrites…feigning aspirations.- So I’ve been told, but you know? I think I have grown, For the loves and laughs I’d had those days, In my soul, they’ll stay. We are all what we are. And need to be, free from ennui. For the love of love, we all must grow. And let it go. Let it go. -And so comes a close to the beginnings of our wanderers journey,, Far from home he stands at the edge of all he’s known, And for it all nothing can yet be shown. Time moves ever on, indifferent to our wants and needs, With ease we collapse reduced to mere memories. Memento mori, Just another tale in this fools story.

Will we ever get back? To those days of unfiltered joy and happiness. Dreams now consumed.. Weak souls seek life, An era of decline. And in the end I know, That we’re all just so fucking small, So let’s selfishly live for just one more day. Let this comfort consume me, It’s not for you to say what’s real. Can’t give up on her, she’s all I need For one more night, the limited escape. (Escape…) With eyes watching and mouths moving, I feel nothing, but certain relief. (I feel nothing...) Open your eyes soon, The road that lies ahead, I know what I must do. Before these waves envelop you. Behind these glazed eyes lies a flickering thought. An answer to what I’ve searched for? I know now that the end approaches, Of my admissions, To this endless sky. (Never again to fear this light I’ve sought; unknown. So far from this place this journey started so long ago. I’ve wandered the memories and this one truth I've known.. Whatever lies ahead as above… Is so below.)

It’s breaking down The colors surround As all other senses fade Drifting away, to this course of old memory Logic defies what I see, I feel, and perceive to be What am I But a thought searching for a place he believed Relieved simply by the notion of an ending Yet it seems to me the stories just begun For once driven by a lack of expectation White noise writhes inside, from here Until we die One by one, we’d become the stream Between circuitry and ones own soul A constant, panicked flight Towards the unknown I have never been farther away From comfort and warmth To tell the truth, I’d envy you Had I not seen what awaits An endless sky Blistered landscapes Creeping disease overwhelms me Overcoming the basic primal requisite of Who we are, and what we define Awake to see It’s not the world, I had longed to see Destined to be another soul Simply drifting in entropy Until I’m gone, less than dust The Unseen Observer
